Has anyone noticed this?

Post by Diranda »

I left some of my writing supplies and the journal I was working on at the Zero last night. Today when I went back to get them, they were gone. Has anyone else been up there and accidentally picked them up? Please let me know if you have.

Not seen your stuff, but we did have a few missing Chiso Books back during our review phase on Vothol, Tre'bivdil, and Serene. Just up and vanished. We'd just chalked it up to neglectful memories at the time, but now I'm starting to wonder a bit.

Should we start up a lost and found?

I'll keep an eye out when I'm down, Diranda. Does your journal have any distinguishing features?

Yes, I remember the Chiso book in the Watcher's Pub going walkabout the day that Tre'bivdil was unveiled. I'm sure that's all there was to it, but if it keeps happening...

Oh, I remember that. Didn't someone also throw up barriers and the curtain around the nook entrance too? What kind of prank was that even?

Thank you greatly, Dr. Lavisham. Yes, it's red with a D'ni zero on the cover. I had a box of pens, I believe that I'd set beside it but was too distracted by sketching the 'door' to remember I'd left them on the steps in front of the KI kiosk.

I'm growing concerned though, particularly since other folks have noticed odd things as well.

I'd hate to ascribe malice to this, but after the encounter I had yesterday at the Overflow Station, I'd recommend folks keep a close eye on their project materials, just to be on the safe side. We may have a well-meaning 'assistant' on our hands.

Great, just what we need. Pranksters in the cavern. I'm keeping everything on my Relto from now on.

This reminds me of how Yeesha herself went out of her way to yoink a DRC translation journal to leave lying around in Eder Kemo as part of her Journey preaching. Wonder if these things will turn up somewhere in a "poetic" place in some Age or another.

As if we haven't had enough cross-world scavenger hunts to last a lifetime.

I would certainly hope people could restrain themselves from moving objects away from where they found them. I don't care if they're a preachy Yeesha, a curious bahro, or a religious fanatic from Tay worshipping Catherine's totally-magic shoes! Leave my stuff where I've left it, if you'd please.

I met a few young Explorers today who told me they noticed a few things missing from their neighborhood.

They just arrived a few weeks ago and settled in a Bevin, and they caught some discussion about things going missing. I found them in the Library and they told me they're missing a camera, several journals and a small power generator.

So I wonder if our 'prankster' is just collecting things having to do with restoration and research?
