Re: RE: Chiso Preniv Security
I hesitate to say it, but an off-site backup location also gives us extra security in case something catastrophic happens in the Cavern or individuals with less-than-honorable intentions look to cause trouble with a D'ni location. It doesn't have to be very big or ostentatious, just enough to hold ...

Re: Descent Survey In Progress.

Re: RE: Chiso Preniv Security
Would we prefer a location in the city away from the hustle and bustle? Or are we talking about another "off-site" location in case all hell breaks loose in the cavern? I can certainly do some scouting on my bike in the Belari district (now that I replaced my tires...). The whole area wasn't in the ...

Re: Descent Survey In Progress.
Thanks for the reminder to wear our hard hats. Too many things can go wrong. I feel the same dread when I'm out cycling and see other cyclists without helmets.
I have to say, I'm concerned by the number of quakes that have impeded the work in just the last couple of years. It's been a recurring ...

I wish I were able to get down to these meetings, but I'm on the surface picking up my kid from school at the same time
. Thank you for posting these notes. I'm excited to see the survey of Descent!

Re: An Old Explorer Reporting
Thank you, Calum. And no apologies necessary--I'd be down in the Cavern much more often if surface life wasn't so busy, too.
And you're an old-timer, too!
With the recent announcement of Doobes' departure, I know resources of all kinds are stretched really thin right now. I don't have that kind of ...

Re: 7.30.25 JULY TOWN HALL.
Oh wow. Losing Dulebohn is major blow to the Restoration. That's a lot of infrastructure, knowledge, and work to pick up, some of which is irreplaceable. I hope that whatever's happened will eventually settle and, whether or not we see him again, he finds peace.

An Old Explorer Reporting
Shorah, everyone.
As a kid, I heard the stories. An ancient underground civilization, mighty and proud, brought low by hubris and tragedy. A lone survivor, his spouse, their two children, and a MYSTerious island where "dreams are as portals" and books could take one to new, fantastic places. I ...
